Brian Robinson is an electronic sound artist based in Bangor, County Down. His work explores the relationship between sound, process, and the dialogue that unfolds between ageing machines and modern tools. Using tape loops, modular systems, hardware, and software processing, he creates music where sound is free to evolve through minimal interaction rather than control.

There’s a quiet joy in not knowing exactly what will happen, when the result matters less than the act of listening, adjusting, and being present with the sound. What emerges is often unplanned: shaped by instinct, small imperfections, and the gradual layering of moments over time. Occasionally, pieces resolve into something complete; other times, they remain as sketches—reminders of the process rather than its conclusion.

These pieces aren’t offered with fixed meaning, but as places to pause, reflect, or simply listen—open to whatever they might become.
